An expert in change management, process engineering, and process driven systems business requirements; this leader has an advanced understanding of processes and business. Leads & Partners with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact operational results. Manages team of Analysts, or large cross-functional matrixed teams. Provides mentorship and guidance to team members and peers.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Manages team of analysts, lower level Process Managers or large cross-functional matrixed teams who plan, perform, and implement process improvement and/or change management initiatives.
Responsible for the effectiveness of complex & strategic business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.
Processes typically affect multiple functions and possibly enterprise-wide; impact may be long term. Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays & cause inefficiencies of a multiple functions and may cause unnecessary expense affecting operational results
Manages the planning and implementation of process improvement and/or change management initiatives.
Coordinates matrixed team efforts to maximize performance, productivity and successful achievement of department/team metrics and goals.
Oversees data analysis, metrics, tools and budgetary expenses to assess best practices and effectiveness of processes and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
Ensures compliance across the organization with applicable processes and procedures.
Develops and implements processes to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services.
Develops policies, methods and procedures to supporting and lending to improvement of business processes and in support of change management.
Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
Ensures that changes are deployed in a consistent, timely fashion that manages the risk of change, minimizes disruptions to the target environment, and provides a framework to ensure that changes are successfully implemented.
Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
Successfully builds and manages relationships between various field and corporate contacts to fully meet their business process and change management needs. This includes defining policies, methods & procedures and best practices.
Understands the implications and applications of emerging technologies along with non-technical processes.
Delivers presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
Contributes to development of an operating plan and budget; generally responsible for managing expenses within a budget; may manage or coordinate a project or budget or multiple project budgets.
Activities are typically more diverse covering multiple functions and significant scope/impact.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.
Conducts performance reviews of team members to ensure performance objectives and expectations are met and, if not, takes immediate action to improve performance level.
Hires team members with the appropriate abilities required to achieve business goals
Coaches, develops team members to continuously improve individual and team performance and capability.
Qualifications:
Minimum
7 or more years of experience required in related field; 5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
Excellent soft skills such as: interpersonal facilitation, data analysis, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
2 or more years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects preferred
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
ASQ Black Belt Certification preferred
Travel may be required on average from 10% to 15%, but could be as high as 25%, as business dictates, to and from Atlanta and all Cox locations for team collaboration meetings, meetings with Senior Leadership and/or training opportunities when Telepresence facilities are either not available or conducive to the work effort involved.
