The Role:
The Portfolio Services team within FAMS provides daily support to the investment teams to help ensure the integrity of the operational landscape and serve as a point of contact for the investment team and FAMS’ business partners. We do this by taking the lead on new product implementation and product change related tasks, troubleshooting problems, coordinating cross-company initiatives, building, and fostering relationships across FAMS’ internal business partners, ensuring processes adhere to established policies and procedures, advocating for technology and other infrastructure related changes, and acting as subject matter experts in specific business areas to represent FAMS’ needs.
We will be hiring two people to perform the same job. There will be some slight differences in the focus of the work (e.g., the type of products you help support/develop).
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
3+ years working experience in financial services
Bachelor’s degree required
Domain knowledge in financial services back, middle, or front office operations or technology
General investment industry experience; experience with systems development projects, business analysis and quantitative analysis
Project management skills; experience contributing to and/or managing projects with multiple stakeholders
Strong relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively
Record of strong team orientation; commitment to excellence; attention to detail
Basic analytic skills allowing you to perform various data analyses (e.g., evaluate performance and performance attribution results, identify trade data and holding discrepancies, etc.)
Excel proficiency
Self-motivation and being inquisitive with a strong desire to work alongside investment professionals where precise communication and follow through are extremely important
A Successful Candidate will:
Participate in implementation strategy to enable effective and efficient processes for FAMS products and business functions
Perform impact assessments and resolve issues
Develop workflow documentation and desktop procedures
Participate on (and eventually) coordinate cross-company project teams
Participate on (and eventually) manage programs from inception to completion to meet business goals
Build & foster strong relationships across multiple internal and external teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Treasurer’s Office, Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO), Risk, Investment Product, Product Governance, etc.)
Ensure processes adhere to established policies & procedures
Support business priority changes and new requests
Partner to develop new alternative investment products (e.g., Exchange Fund) and collaborate with our distribution partners in Personal Investing (PI), Fidelity Institutional (FI), etc.

The Asset Management Compliance, Risk and Business Operations (CRBO) team comprises the following teams: AM Compliance, AM Risk, Business Operations and Strategy, Counterparty Research & Analytics, Investment Services and Strategic Business Initiatives. The teams work together to support Asset Management’s strategic goals while being the best partner to the business to protect our clients via proactive compliance monitoring, risk oversight and strategic business planning. The team’s key organizational themes are business partnership and stewardship, platform modernization, innovation, and talent development.
