The Manager, People Programs will manage a team of Project Managers that are responsible for prioritizing and leading the successful deployment of OSPE&C strategic initiatives. You will influence the adoption of strategic priorities and enable quality performance for OSPE&C. You will provide tactical and strategic leadership and direction for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of OSPE&C employee focused initiatives. You will work with OSPE&C leadership and key partners to define, implement and manage new and existing OSP rewards and recognition and performance programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals. You will coordinate efforts with OSPE&C leaders and all key functional departments (both corporate and regions). Finally, you will ensure brand and inclusion, diversity and equity principles are integrated into programs and approach.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Implement and manage activities associated with new enterprise programs, processes, or technologies. • Drive the development and implementation of standard operational processes.
• Mitigate risks that could impact the long-term adoption of changes.
• Partners with OSPE&C Career Readiness Council to provide governance for performance management frameworks and assure the delivery of quality standards, aligning performance objectives with strategic goals.
• Provides oversight for OSPE&C Safety efforts and supports program elements that create a culture of safety and leadership accountability
• Collaborates with key boundary partners to implement new processes and technologies in a consistent manner. ( i.e. HR, Safety, LWC, ID&E, Leadership Development, Brand, Public Affairs)
• Defines, manages and evolves all aspects of reward and recognition strategy (to include program launches, guidelines, ongoing management, winner selection/announcement, etc.), leading enterprise-wide programs (e.g. Golden Hard Hat Awards), consulting with Atlanta and regional leadership to drive engagement. • Collaborates with key boundary partners to ensure successful planning and execution of cross-functional recognition programs (e.g. Gold Standard Program, Customer Experience Week).
• Supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership for the work of professional or supervisory level employees to accomplish operational plans and results.
• Strategize and support the implementation of operational plans and results associated with OSPE&C Primed to Win strategy.
• Advises and coaches team members on procedures, priorities and standard methodology.
• Manages a high-performance culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and fostering professional growth and development for employees.
• Provides oversight for OSPE&C compliance mechanisms and ensures ongoing collection of feedback to assess program health and drive improvement. (Program Enablement Dashboard)
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• 7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. change management, process improvement, project management, communications or academic equivalent training or projects).
• 3 or more years of experience in Construction or related field
• Strong knowledge of Windows based applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including 3rd party vendors.
• Track record of working effectively with all levels of a typical large organization within a matrix structure
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, planning, prioritization, multi-tasking and meeting management skills
• Works well in an ambiguous environment; ability to be flexible and adapt.
• Strong ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information.
• Must possess an internal client service orientation and work collaboratively.
• Ability to keep open mind, consider all aspects of the alternative and remain unbiased.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred:
• BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Business, Communications, Project Management)
• 5 or more years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects
• Experience in telecommunications industry or other subscription-based business
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects with Cox business partners and outside vendors
• Previous experience designing employee engagement programs, supporting teams through deployment, driving adoption, and measuring sustainment with proven benefits
• Proven analytical skills and program management skills
• Strong presentation and communication “packaging†skills
