Responsible for leading and managing a team of project managers who support the Cox Business (CB) department of Cox Communications as well as providing overall direction and customer satisfaction for all CB projects .
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Manages employees to effectively forecast, monitor and exceed all installation numbers as well as all of their accountabilities.
• Conducts reviews and coaching sessions for all direct reports to ensure development and improved performance.
• Provides specific job accountabilities that are documented and reviewed in one on ones.
• Assists direct reports by preparing development plans and encouraging future growth.
• Mentors all Project Managers on project management “best practices†and looks for process improvement opportunities proactively that would positively impact departmental goals and objectives.
• Guides direct reports in the day to day prioritization of escalations and expedited assignments.
• Periodically reviews and receives feedback from internal customers to ensure their direct reports are providing the necessary assistance in the overall monitoring and delivery of our products
• Partners with other department leaders to secure and allocate appropriate resources.
• Continuously looks for areas of opportunity geared toward improving operations, provides recommendations for improvements and aids in implementing all approved changes.
• Performs analysis and investigation in areas of concern and applies appropriate problem solving techniques and tools to determine root cause and resolve issues.
• Tracks and maintains project issues and facilitates resolution of those issues limiting impact to the overall success of the project, escalates issues when required, and acts as a catalyst for resolving issues.
• Ensures SLA’s and customer standards are being met.
• Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, status reports and tracks key project milestone and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers.
• Develops and/or maintains working relationships with key partners, including Sales, IN&T, Network Services, Construction and other key partners within the organization.
• Makes project decisions and recommendations, and communicates status to
• leadership on a consistent basis
• Creates and develops appropriate communication plans to customers from project “kick off†to final customer acceptance. Evaluates and responds appropriately to customer’s issues and requests.
• Provides weekly or daily written project updates on all projects for team, their assigned sales representative, and management review.
• Remains current on technical information regarding Cox’s telephony, data, and video products.
• Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
ESSENTIALS

BS degree in Project Management or related field preferred.
• Experience: Generally 7+ years of relevant Project Management experience. 3 – 5 years of leadership and/or line supervisory experience. Time may be credited for college coursework in applying experience requirements. Certification may be required in some areas.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
• High level of competency in Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, managerial and business management skills.
• Demonstrated results in creating and managing the successful completion of complex project/program plans, including budgetary management and fiscal awareness.
• Flexibility and capacity to handle multiple projects/requirements at once.
• Attention to detail with the ability to view the larger picture and determine appropriate goals and timing for team.
• Thorough understanding of project management methodology, practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to remove roadblocks to ensure departmental success.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies & products to ensure success in the delivery of projects.
