Manager, Marketing Automation

The Manager, Marketing Automation will play a pivotal role on the Fidelity Institutional (FI) Digital Marketing team, supporting the modernization of FI’s go-to-market approach through the development of best practices, driving the use of sophisticated capabilities and ensuring the orchestration of a connected lead funnel. You will be an evangelist for our marketing automation system, Salesforce Marketing Cloud!

The Marketing Automation Manager will work at strategic and tactical levels to advance FI’s marketing automation program and develop bold, innovative, scalable marketing automation and lead generation practices.

The Purpose of Your Role

  • Implement multichannel marketing automation capabilities using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
  • Build omnichannel client and prospect journeys and a lead scoring program to identify and prioritize leads
  • Establish & monitor lead capture and management processes – partner cross-functionally to integrate with and optimize FI’s demand generation efforts
  • Document and optimize data flow, guiding integrations between SFMC and CRM systems
  • Partner with marketing effectiveness, marketing analytics and sales support teams to establish shared marketing-sales performance reporting
  • Use analysis and insights to optimize the marketing automation program
  • Partner with program manager to structure email launch plan
  • Stay updated on marketing automation and lead generation trends and best practices to drive results – educate and influence others

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on B2B marketing automation and lead generation
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation and multichannel lead generation strategies, and expertise in building omnichannel journey workflows
  • Experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or similar marketing automation tool; experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience building or influencing reporting tools and dashboards
  • Natural, strong leadership identity with instinct for partnership, active listening, and communication
  • Ability to challenge the status quo effectively and respectfully, and influence teams without formal management authority
  • Ability to effectively communicate data-driven, efficiency-driving, or best practice-based narratives and recommendations
  • Strong prioritization skills, ensuring alignment to key business strategies
  • Desire to learn and grow, and prioritize self-improvement

The Team

The Digital Engagement Marketing team works to bring Fidelity Institutional messaging to market for a wide range of target audiences. This role will be embedded in the Digital Engagement Marketing team and will partner extensively with multiple teams within FI Marketing, and beyond.
