Manager GFXIP Mobile Geometry Engine

 

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Manager to join the leading edge GFXIP  team focusing on mobile space applications. You will lead a team of 8 highly motivated engineers delivering the GFXIP subsystem to a wide range of the mobile products in the next generation of the technologies. You will closely work with the design lead and verification engineers for IP development. In addition, you will also interact with Customers for the development and to provide the technical support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for delivering GFX mobile subsystem to GFX IP for mobile products on schedule with high quality.
• Strong alignment with the management on the execution objective – deliver on commitment
• Working closely with the architects and the technical leaders to develop project execution plan, implementation strategies and delivery milestones
• Lead and provide the execution guidance to the team members; facilitate the team to meet the milestones, tracking the development progress, and proactively driving the open issues to closure.
• Working skills to foresee the risk and develop mitigation plans with the objective to prevent the schedule delay and quality degradation.
• Capable of effectively interacting with the program managers, senior managers, the members of the team, and external teams across the organization, and the customers.
• Possess good comprehension of technical aspects of the subsystem of GFXIP and be able to communicate clearly to external teams.
• Capable of making sound decisions showing good judgment in technical and developmental discussions given internal and external constraints
• Responsible for providing the opportunities, mentoring and coaching the team members

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in IP development in RTL design and/or verification
• Good knowledge of RTL design, micro architecture, design for power, design for test and physical domain constraints
• Good knowledge of GFXIP technologies, algorithm processing, or complex system design is a plus
• Proficient experience in project management and people management
• Very strong background in Verilog, System Verilog, C/C++ coding techniques
• Strong experience working with Synopsys VCS or equivalent
• Strong analytical and risk management skills
• Must be self motivated with strong problem solving skills.
• Very strong in both written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to communicate clearly to the engineers, executives and customers

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.A. Sc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• M.A. Sc or Ph.D preferred
