Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Facilities 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Essential Functions:

Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one of the following facilities areas: facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing or real estate coordination. Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities. Supervises employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance. Sets priorities and performs forecasting and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsible for managing maintenance activities for buildings, infrastructure, plant equipment, and systems necessary to support successful facility operations. Provides leadership for preventive and corrective maintenance activities, equipment engineering and reliability, housekeeping, landscaping, safety and compliance, work planning and scheduling, inventory and spare parts.

Manages a staff of (10-12) non-exempt employees responsible for facility maintenance activities.

Develops and monitors, budget allocations, expenditures, and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits and fiscal practices are followed. Oversees maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance and performance management to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction and effective staff performance management.

Coordinates with leadership, personnel, outside agencies and programs to ensure successful execution of maintenance activities and plant operations.

- This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

- Master's degree with 5 years' experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 7 year's experience OR High School/equivalent with 9 year's of work experience with a background in one or more of the following: operations, manufacturing Engineering, industrial engineering and/or manufacturing facilities operations, similar related industries

- 1 year experience leading a process, project or team

- Experience with establishing and tracking performance metrics

- Ability to communication effectively with senior leadership

- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field - Familiar with a variety of aerospace and/or similar industry production equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure

- Familiar with robotics and automation equipment, DDC Programming

- Experience using Asset and/or other maintenance management system

- Experience with CAD/3D design and/or ability to read and interpret blue prints- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Salary Range: $107,800 USD - $161,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
