The ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Financial Planning & Reporting Manager will work alongside our ESG Sustainability Council as well as our enterprise finance organization focusing on advancing sustainability financial planning and reporting.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
ESG Data Management: Coordinate ESG data collection efforts (aligned with SASB and GRI) and issue company’s ESG Download. Identify and implement actions to improve data collection process and integrity. Conduct an audit readiness assessment and ensure we have the appropriate control processes and procedures in place.
ESG Reporting Framework: Evaluate leading reporting frameworks (TCFD, <IR>), conduct gap assessment, and develop recommendations and reporting roadmap.
Integrated Reporting: Partner with our Corporate Financial Reporting and Communications teams to develop our annual integrated report. Continually benchmark our integrated report vs capital market peers and identify/ recommend opportunities to enhance ESG transparency.
ESG Performance Management: Develop KPI scorecard for our 2030 sustainability goals and annual targets.
Other key planning and reporting responsibilities:
In partnership with our Sustainability Council PMO, build and maintain relationships with key reporting agencies, including MSCI, ISS, Vigeo Eiris, CDP, etc. Identify opportunities and initiatives to improve ratings and address gaps.
In partnership with our Sustainability Council PMO, participate in materiality assessment.
In partnership with our Procurement organization, lead data collection effort to capture and quantify scope 3 GHG emissions.
In partnership with our Investor Relations and Communications teams, ensure timely and accurate responses to ESG-focused inquiries from investors, customers, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
Manage external resources to provide subject-matter expertise, where necessary.
BA or BS in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
5-8+ years of experience in finance/accounting (or 3+ years of experience in sustainability reporting) with a strong record of career progression.
Strong understanding of accounting and compliance requirements.
ESG experience is highly desired, including deploying TCFD/<IR> frameworks, developing ESG risk scenarios, creating financial models for various sustainability related investments, etc.
Strong and independent strategic thinker and influencer.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to drive process-based improvement across functions.
Strong initiative and collaborative work-style; experience working with multiple stakeholders to successfully execute action plans.
Experience with Enablon, Google docs, Microsoft Excel and HFM preferred
