The Manager, Equity Payroll & Accounting manages the day-to-day equity payroll process for the U.S. and Canada, related tax compliance activities, and manages the annual and other special incentive pay processes for the U.S. and Canada. The Manager, Equity Payroll & Accounting works closely with the payroll vendor, Global Equity, North American Payroll Delivery, North American Payroll Tax, and Global Mobility.
Financial Services is recruiting an Manager, Equity Payroll & Accounting supporting North America Payroll Operations. This role will manage the day-to-day equity payroll process for the U.S. and Canada, related tax compliance activities, and manages the annual and other special incentive pay processes for the U.S. and Canada. The Manager, Equity Payroll & Accounting works closely with the payroll vendor, Global Equity, North American Payroll Delivery, North American Payroll Tax, and Global Mobility. The Manager, Equity Payroll & Accounting – Payroll North America will report to the Director of Payroll Operations – North America.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily equity payroll transactions for the U.S. and Canada
Manage the bi-annual restricted stock and performance stock releases with internal and external partners, including Global Equity, Global Mobility, and payroll vendor.
Review and approve equity balance sheet reconciliations from Payroll Accounting
Manage the annual incentive and other special incentive processes for the U.S. and Canada with internal and external partners, Global Benefits, Global Rewards, Payroll Accounting, North American Supply Chain, North American payroll team, and payroll vendor.
Manage tax compliance process for equity payroll transactions with internal and external partners including estimated taxes, tax adjustments, and W-2/T-4 corrections.
Provide equity payroll expertise to internal and external partners.
Manage the global tax funding and paper profit process related to equity transactions.
Reconcile balance sheet account for corporate clearing related to global equity transactions.
Provide leadership and development to one direct report.

What you need to be successful
You bring 5+ years of relevant experience to the role. You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Global Benefits, Global Equity, Global Mobility, Global Rewards, Treasury, Human Resources, North American Payroll, and external vendors.
You have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships. This includes the ability to find and partner with the right people resources to meet role objectives, provide expertise, and adequately address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
You have experience in managing projects with limited supervision. This includes managing project timelines, partnering with the right people resources, utilizing meaningful project tools, and providing regular project communication as appropriate to meet project objectives and timelines.
Fluent written and spoken English skills, knowledge of other language is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the desire and ability to work with people from various countries and cultures.
You have experience in managing employees
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
Masters in Business Administration or Accounting is Preferred
5+ years of professional experience with a company or organization with annual revenue of $1 billion or greater
Experience in equity payroll, including restricted stock and options
Experience in managing employees
Proficient understanding of U.S. and Canada employment tax laws is preferred
Certified Public Accountant or country equivalent is preferred
Excellent communication skills to a variety of audiences
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Highly organized with attention to detail
