Reporting to the Director of Demand Planning, you will lead a team in the development of the forecast that is used for operational & financial planning; lead the review of historical sales trends, statistical forecast models, and evaluation of forecast results; and be on point to coordinate communication with sales, marketing, finance, supply planning and other departments in order to deliver accurate and timely information and to deliver on forecast accuracy metrics.
What You'll Do:
Manage team of Demand Planners supporting multiple brands and/or business units.
Hire, train, and mentor new planners, creating an environment of personal and professional development.
Manage team to drive process execution, action follow up for delivery of KPI’s, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Own and facilitate monthly S&OP forecast consensus process resulting in a rolling 24-month demand plan. Supports S&OP Demand Reviews.
Play a lead role in the annual planning process across the S&OP planning team. Ensure linkage to monthly volume forecast as part of financial forecasting process.
Collaborate with key partners in, Sales, Brand, and Finance to obtain consistent forecast inputs.
Work cross-functionally and across peer group to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities and associated linkages to other functions.
Ensure successful customer promotion execution through effective planning and leverage of key customer event inputs.
Track weekly/monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast error below targets.
What You'll Bring
B.S degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field. MBA/advanced degree a plus.
Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge.
Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
5 years consumer products forecasting and/or supply chain experience.
Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning.
Experience in managing people.
Experience with any forecasting application or supply planning software and/or SAP, APO, SAS.
Experience with IRI, Retail Link, and other external customer data sources.
Strong project management skills with proven success in delivering complex projects.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Strong collaboration and influence management skills as evident by cross functional alignment and delivery of initiatives.
