The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of our existing ILAS portfolio and the development of innovative life/supplemental products to address the needs of target segments by understanding consumer insights, market/competitive situation, and organizational strategy.  This position has to work closely with distribution and all business functions to maintain, design and launch propositions in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify, design and implement various proposition and product development initiatives;

• Take responsibility for business ownership of ILAS and individual life business lines, maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders to contribute to sustainable growth of these business lines;

• Conduct regulatory, market, and competitor research to guide development of our propositions to ensure they remain competitive and compliant with relevant laws and regulations;

• In addition to recommending new product opportunities and new initiative, this individual will outline the product concept, develop business case and to deliver products on time;

• Act as a primary contact point with the regulators (SFC and IA) regarding approval matters on new propositions and proposition changes, including offering documents and marketing materials;

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to promote existing propositions, prepare training materials for internal colleagues and intermediaries to emphasis unique selling points, and identify proposition development opportunities based on feedback from frontline staff;

• Prepare fund fact sheets and performance summaries and support fund changes and enhancements to offering documents from time to time;

• Support your supervisor on any ad hoc projects (including non-life product projects, for example development of new individual or group medical insurance initiatives) and reports;

• Provide coaching to junior staff where appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree with minimum 8 years’ experience in product development with strong exposure in insurance industry;

• Strong knowledge of Life insurance including ILAS;

• Strong analytical abilities and creative energy;

• Exceptional business acumen and proven ability to communicate and persuade at all levels of the organization;

• Proven results in leading cross-functional teams and able to work under pressure;

• Ability to be self-driven, show initiative and motivate others.
