The Senior Manager Continuous Improvement EMEA establishes and executes the CI strategy in support of business strategy, builds and fosters a CI culture across functions and leads and implements CI programs and deliver tangible benefits.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategy & Culture - Develop and implement a CI strategy for the region in alignment with key stakeholders and in support of the business strategy, establish a performance and data driven culture by implementing, maintaining and further enhancing tools from the Ingredion Performance System (IPS), such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), LEAN, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as well as new tools & methodologies, Reliability and facilitate change processes to get sustainable business results
Projects & Delivery - Work with plants and business functions to establish and maintain a robust pool of CI projects and activities, deliver regional CI savings targets, ensure proper tracking and benefit calculation in alignment with Finance within the global Net Structural savings framework and leads Black Belt or significant business/ change projects
Training & Development - Develop, maintain, and update training materials and coordinate & execute the training efforts for all belts in various aspects of continuous improvement. Manage and mentor black belts, green belts, project team members/ leaders and other employees, present/teach LSS training classes within region, build and deliver regional organizational development program and maintain training of >85% of the population in EMEA. Identify, develop and deliver focused (training) programs to drive IPS application in the organization and the promotion of CI talent with a clear focus on delivering measurable benefits to the organization and the individuals.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management - Work collaboratively with leadership to identify initiatives and establish priorities based on corporate, regional and site business objectives. Build the global and regional network to assure transfer of best practice and tools from/ into the region. Coordinate with Global Continuous Improvement/LSS Group training, processes, tools and reporting activities. Serve as a focal point for continuous improvement activities and be recognized as a visible champion and expert resource in this area by expanding the personal knowledge of LSS.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
Engineering background ideally Master`s degree
Work experience in operations, technical, or a business role with a minimum of 10 years.
Trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt (preferred), or capacity to become a Black Belt within 12-18 months
Capable of learning, leading and sponsoring a data-oriented environment with an emphasis on statistics, process improvement, and data analysis
Demonstrated ability to be a change agent
Builds collaboration and trust among team members by delivering on commitments and recognizing individual and team contributions
Strong project management, presentation, communication, and coaching skills
Travel up to 25%, on average
Ongoing training and development within the global network
Fluency in English and German required
