We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Manager, AMG Compliance working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

  • The role of the Manager, AMG Compliance is based within Compliance Asset Management (AM) and is one of the core roles in the Financial Crime Risk Management Programme.
  • The Manager, AMG Compliance will work within Asset Management Europe on the AMEU business (UK) reporting into the Senior Compliance Manager UK RC AM UK and providing support to the Senior Compliance Manager, FCC Lead as the Senior Management Function delegate.
  • Support the AM business by embedding a robust risk management culture by providing advice, training and risk stewardship to ensure the business complies with the letter and spirit of relevant regulations and the Compliance FIMs

In this role, you will:

  • Provide clear, concise, consistent, constructive and customer conscious advice and strategic guidance to AM Teams and business colleagues.
  • Support the country Head of FCC and Senior FCC AM Manager to implement policy in country for the Financial Crime risk management framework to meet FCC requirements and legislation.
  • Implement the Bank’s Financial Crime Compliance strategy, policy and standards, controls, systems and policies are being implemented in country and for Asset Management business.
  • Work with the FCC team regionally to maintain relevant contacts in Regional Businesses and Regional Functions to ensure consistent and effective application, implementation and controls to evidence related FCC regional standards, policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to FCC risk in country (including regulators)
  • Participate in and work with relevant industry bodies and groups in relation to FCC related initiatives, trends and proposals.
  • Provide support and management on of all aspects of FCC in AMEU (UK) and for AM
  • Stay at the forefront of key regulatory changes to ensure proactive communication with business and implement appropriate group policy and framework to manage the changes.
  • Provide advice to AM – AMEU (UK) business on risk associated with prospective business, products and service and design mitigation controls and strategies as appropriate
  • Intersect with and represent FCC with senior business leadership
  • Be involved in and responsible for minimising risk with potential FCC liability.
 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of significant experience in working with regulators in financial crime matters
  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. experience as a regulator, senior compliance manager or equivalent within a global firm, in the financial services industry.
  • Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
  • Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • Planned projects and activities systematically in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
