About the Hiring Team: Newly formed in 2020, the Adoption Team of Global Mile in the EU is a key enabler of this vision, working closely with EU Based FBA sellers to Market the new service, support them with joining the program, and become a trusted advisor in helping them grow through Global Mile. This team works closely with Product teams of Global Mile and also recruitment teams across Marketplace teams in Europe. The objective over the next few years is to scale significantly the usage of Global Mile within European FBA Sellers, and along the way help make it a product that sellers love!
About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for all business and operational objectives of your team. You’ll drive the creation and execution of strategies to improve your book of business with sales led-adoption, and deliver best in class team engagement and people development plans. You will be the Sales Unit Lead that is part of a larger and expanding Global Sales Org, and hence, constantly brainstorming best practices, and developing globalized solutions with your peer leads in China & USA for a standardized operating mechanisms, reporting structures for co-leading and co-innovating the Global Mile Sales.
Roles and Responsibilities: Managers for Business Development/ Account Management are responsible for driving Selling Partner business growth and delivering a positive experience through the program.The key responsibilities are as follows:
Team Leadership and People Management:
· Lead a team of Account Managers prioritizing strategic initiatives, creating sales-led business growth for Global Mile
· Contribute to and lead strategic sales and account management plans and documents for the organization.
· Defining success criteria of the sales and seller support team. Focus Account Managers on creating impact where it matters most.
· Partner with internal teams including Global Account Management in China and US on topics such as Business Management, Marketing, Operations, and other Central Support teams (e.g. Finance, Procurement and Carrier Management) to align programs and initiatives to drive sales-led growth.
· Lead recruiting and hiring efforts across direct team and broader organization.
· Drive high-performance, engagement and job satisfaction in the team. Develop career paths & development plans for the team.
Selling Partner Relationship Management:
· Understand, capture and resolve business needs of managed Selling Partners in an ever-changing business environment.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate and professional operational support to all Selling Partners.
· Build strong relationships with Selling Partners across the portfolio; proactively build joint business plan action items and act as a point of escalation for outstanding issues, questions, and concerns.
· Manage Selling Partner needs and monitor complexity through efficient resource allocation of Account Managers.
· Monitor Selling Partner satisfaction survey results to analyze both positive and negative feedback trends. Establish improvement plans and mange expectations with Account Managers as appropriate.
· Identify feature enhancements and new products to improve our service offerings based on customer feedback, data analysis, and feature gaps with competitive products. Partner with Product and Engineering teams as needed, to get the key ideas turned from concept to concrete.
Sales-led Business Growth:
· Manage end to end goal setting for sales and account management team to align with organizational goals.
· Co-develop lead-pool generation strategies & execution plans with marketing team to create sales pipeline
· Own Sales Pipeline Forecasting to feed short-range demand forecasts to Demand Forecasting & Capacity Planning Teams
Excellence in Program Process and Management Reporting
· Develop strong data-driven sales performance reporting structure and cadence. Publish weekly sales reports, highlights, lowlights and call-outs for help needed.
· Create Standard Operating Procedures for Sales Teams, Seller Support Team and provide escalation support as needed.
· Create new reporting tools, dashboards, and program structures to build on the existing. Cross-pollinate ideas with other internal teams to globalize, standardize and automate
· Bachelor’s degree
· 6+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management
· 3+ years as people manager
· 3+ years of experience working with Excel and data analysis
· Fluency in English, both written and verbal
· MBA
· Experience in logistics/freight-forwarding industry
· Strong understanding of the FBA / Amazon Seller Services
· German/Spanish/Italian business level communication ability would also be valued.
