Function Related Activities and Key Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of management systems to meet all regulatory, ISO, KORE and any other external or internal requirements for the business
- Develops and monitors the site’s internal auditing program to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and mitigate risk
- Responsible for the sites record control and retention processes
- Leads the sites corrective and preventative action program
- Lead internal auditors and drive improvement.
- Conducts internal audits of the management system and drives change to addresses gaps and non-conformances
- Collaborates with the site leadership team to ensure competency and training programs are effective and implemented
- Responsible for the execution and implementation of an effective management review process to health check the plants management systems and identify improvement opportunities
- Representative for Coca-Cola, Federal, State and regulatory audits
- Collaborate with other site leaders in order to improve Coca-Cola management systems
- Ensure plant compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Support to plant leadership team to facilitate delivery of Management System related training modules at five levels: New Hire Orientation, Annual Review, Specialty, Contractor, and Management
- Coordinates and leads training classes including, but not limited to, policies, processes, standard work, lean tools and new/revised systems requirements.
- Manage documentation and records in to ensure that they are complete, current, secure and easily retrievable. This may include designing, organizing or maintaining technical or regulatory records (e.g., paper formula files) and reports
- Review and update existing standards, specifications or requirements in order to comply with changes in regulatory and customer requirements, and to support new product development
- Represent plant on Safety, Environmental and Sustainability regional and corporate calls.
- Lead / Facilitate safety program activities and programs with oversite of safety programs such as OSHA VPP program. Plant contact for Worker’s Compensation matters and safety alert communications
Job Location and Work Conditions
Work is performed in beverage manufacturing and production environment. Work requires exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, working around moving equipment, wet conditions, fumes, dust, etc. Working hours must be flexible with the ability to work extended hours as required.
Equipment
Personal protective equipment. MSDS sheets, measuring instruments, equipment operations manuals. Safety glasses, hearing protection.
Education and Additional Job-Related Requirements
- Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience, Food and beverage experience preferred,
- Working knowledge of ISO requirements (9001, 22000, 14001, 18001, etc.) or other management system.
- Lean, Six Sigma certification, Black belt or green belt a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, preferred: Bachelor’s Degree -Technical or Food Science
- Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management and processes
- Working knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, health safety, environment, quality and emergency management.
- Working knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier.
- Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Statistical Process Control
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications
- Working knowledge of document control database management such as ETQ reliance
- Proficient in financial reporting tools (Excel, SAP, MFT, etc.)
- Interface with financial leadership
- Implement financial controls and procedures
