Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Replaces, repairs, adjusts and modifies mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment.
- Repairs and maintains conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment
- Monitors assigned lines and troubleshoots all equipment
- Tests parts, assemblies, equipment and systems for proper operation, makes all necessary adjustments and records all modifications
- Initiates action, identifies and records defects to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system
- Assists production operators with equipment set-ups, answer callouts from warehouse, process and packaging line as requested
- Reads, understands uses and updates shop prints and specifications and refers to manufacturer’s manuals for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems
- Assists outside trades / specialists with repairs, replacements, adjustments, installations, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping, tools and infrastructure as directed
- Completes “pass-over ‘with previous and incoming technicians to ensure continuity from shift to shift
- Orders parts, equipment, tools and complete purchase requisitions to maintain parts inventory as needed
- Inspects work and work area, perform clean-up using proper tools and equipment, according to approved methods /procedures
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain clean and safe working environment in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- At the end of the shift complete all required paperwork / data entry, secure all equipment.
- Follows all plant and corporate safety and food safety policies and procedures
- Understanding time sensitive escalation procedures
- Create and close out own work orders and add specs info to SAP system
- Control inventory parts and write requisitions using the SAP system
- Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor
