JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
Responsible for maintaining all equipment used in fabrication, machining, and assembly for heavy duty truck axles as well as the equipment necessary to update the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
- Identify and record any product, process and quality system problems.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Verify the implementation of solutions.
- Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected as defined by applicable procedures and/or by delegation of the Manager of Facilities.
- Provide technical support of a mechanical nature to manufacturing.
- Accomplish predictive/preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Generate ideas and implement changes to improve uptime of the equipment.
- Identify and correct any safety issues.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to ensure the facility is tour ready at all times.
- Document and maintain records as necessary to ensure accurate history of equipment breakdowns and repairs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Training and Skills:
- Should have three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Possess a fundamental knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding and other mechanical devices.
Education/Certifications:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a fundamental knowledge of all safety procedures.
- Possess the mechanical aptitude necessary to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and make the necessary repairs.
- Be an effective communicator.
