Perform installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, low voltage instrumentation, and troubleshooting of equipment within a manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Demonstrated ability to install, troubleshoot, and start-up of process control, technical issues, and electrical systems
Repair electrical equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance and completing projects such electrical hardware upgrades
Ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) hardware used in the field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as basic intermediate PLC ladder logic
Working knowledge variable frequency drives and other common drives used in the field including a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Knowledge of industrial plant systems, equipment and operations
Proficient in the use of industrial mechanics tools, electrician’s tools, instrumentation and controls tools and rigging/millwork tools
Working Knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, SPC
Knowledge of electrical systems using 480-volt 3 phase as well as 240 volts through 24-volt single phase systems
Understand and comply with all OSHA, NEC, state, and local codes including 70E regulations
Use ladder diagrams, control schematics, P & IDs, and OEM literature in repair troubleshooting
Evaluate and configure V.F.D. and D.C. drive controller configurations and terminations
Leverage available test equipment to test, trouble shoot, and repair systems to ensure proper working conditions before turning such systems over to plant personnel for operation
Read and understand labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately
Use Company computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to record and access maintenance-related information
Troubleshoot and operate programmable controllers, distributive control systems and interlocking systems
Understand and comply with Company safety requirements
Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment
Acquire new electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
Qualified candidates will have:
High school graduate or equivalent education or equivalent combination of industrial experience and education
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance capacity within an industrial manufacturing environment
Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, repairs and testing of electrical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility. Previous experience with Transformers, Motor Control Centers, Starters, Motors, V.F.D. and D.C. drive controllers, Control Systems, P.L.C. and medium voltage distribution preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Must be able to pass testing on Math, Reading, and Mechanical Aptitude
Must be able to pass a background check for education, work history, and criminal record
Must be able to complete a physical and drug screen
Passing score on 3rd Party Skills Assessment Exam
Preferred: Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and/or CMMS knowledge
Be willing to work required overtime or off shifts
