The Maintenance & Reliability Manager will be responsible for formulating and executing the long-term strategic maintenance agenda, providing leadership and support to individual unit maintenance teams in improving the performance of their processes, ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of common maintenance systems, and ultimately, for reducing the plant’s overall maintenance spending.

Core Responsibilities:

• Outline strategic objectives that reduce overall plant maintenance spending
• Implement system that optimizes parts inventories based on reliability, carrying cost, and obsolescence risk, for best alignment with plant objectives
• Initiate and champion a multi-generational plan to standardize common parts throughout the plant; ensure sustainability through Management of Change
• Identify opportunities to leverage plant’s purchasing power to improve service level, quality, or price of parts and services
• Partner with other plants to learn and apply best practice.
• Work with all unit maintenance teams to determine best practices and sharing opportunities
• Champion Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM) approach
• Partner with Engineering Manager and Procurement Manager to develop preferred vendor/contractor qualification process that meets the needs of all groups
• Partner with Operations groups to drive reliability improvement through improved operating and maintenance procedures utilizing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and tools
• Support succession planning within the maintenance organization by providing training opportunities to prepare others for growth
• Solicit feedback from plant personnel and report on the satisfaction of both internal and external customers of the maintenance organization to ensure customer focus is maintained.
• Manage and develop financial budgets effectively to support safety, quality, infrastructure, and operations.
• Ability to manage in a manufacturing environment, including capability to perform effectively in high stress, emergency, and crisis situations.
• Ability to give clear and concise presentations and conduct effective meetings. 
• Ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships.
• Ability to communicate and influence across functional lines and at all levels.
• Ability to learn and apply Ingredion’s GMP, Quality and Safety standards.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Previous experience in maintenance supervision/planning or reliability engineering
• Knowledge of SAP system as it pertains to maintenance and operations.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma. 
• Proficiency in setting priorities and executing multiple assignments in a timely manner.
• Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, processes, and customer base.
