JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Asset Care Leader will take full leadership responsibility for the Asset Care Resource in their area and is a member of the Engineering Leadership Team. The ACL will have direct line responsibility for the PM Technicians, Shift Craft and Shift Electricians (or Dual Skilled Craft) in their area. In addition, ACLs may manage Stores Controller/Maintenance Planner resource. The ACL will also manage the Repair & Maintenance budgets for their area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organise and plan maintenance activities so that assets are maintained safely and cost effectively meeting agreed production performance measures

Responsible for overseeing completion, prioritising and analysis of tags

Feedback tag analysis at appropriate forum

Responsible for team completing and data capture of break down recording

Permit Authoriser for the area

Manage Contractors working in the area

Accountable for completion of and monitor of safety critical maintenance

Procedure for control of non-routine engineering work

Procedure for isolation

Procedure for control of Routine Maintenance

Engineering Waste management

Manage and lead the Asset Care Teams

Responsible for the recruitment and selection of new team members

Fully implement HR policies related to team members and their activities

Understand Union agreements and work in partnership with Union Representatives

Ensure availability of personnel to ensure support of the production plan

Ensure with support from logistics, that the Asset Care Team is aware of line priorities

Liaise with other functions (primarily Supply Chain Coordinators) to ensure that any problems adversely affecting the delivery of the plan can be quickly and efficiently resolved

ALL ABOUT YOU

Essential

Degree or NVQ equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline

IOSH Managing safely and Process Safety

Minimum 5 years practical engineering experience and leadership at supervisory level

Incorporated Engineer

Expenditure and budgetary control
