Position Summary:

Coordinates and assists in the supervision of safe and cost effective operation of Gordon Food Service (GFS) warehouse maintenance including troubleshooting mechanical problems, equipment repairs and hydraulic, welding or electrical repairs.

Essential Functions of this role:

• Assists in observations, employee reviews, and disciplinary actions. Provides hire, performance review and disciplinary recommendations to warehouse supervisors
• Assists in the administration function and record keepings for the department to include weekly action incentive input and scoring.
• Reviews Maximo on a daily basis
• Performs PM and janitorial inspections
• Confers with vendors /contractors to resolve problems in installation of new equipment
• Prepares work schedules, including vacation coverage, to expedites workflow
• Monitors warehouse safety according to OSHA standard and communicates to warehouse supervisors Monitors and prioritizes inventory control and order fulfillment
• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
• Assists in training of team members

Requirements for this position:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate preferred
• Experience: Two to four years previous warehouse maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Equipment/Computer Skills: Electrical and mechanical ability preferred
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, establishing appropriate priorities
• Work independently and/or within a team environment
• Clearly demonstrate leadership skills and understanding of a production warehouse maintenance operation
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
