Maintenance II – ADM Southern Cellulose, Chattanooga, TN
This is a full-time,  hourly level position.

Position Summary:
The plant processes cotton linters and produces cotton pulp. The ability to work safely in all situations of the plant environment is the paramount requirement. The ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and able to work well in a diverse team environment as well as an aptitude to learn. Strong language skills will be necessary to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation documents, and procedures manuals. The candidates must have an excellent work history including safety and attendance. The position will involve some shift rotation including weekends and holidays.
 
Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot
• Repair mechanical equipment
• Repair and maintain pumps; install and remove equipment
• Fabrication
• Perform preventive procedures;
• Weld; cut; and perform similar operations
• The position requires the use of hand tools, electric and pneumatic tools, measuring devices and other tools as needed. Electrical diagnosis skills are a plus but not a pre-requisite 

Job Requirements:

• Position requires the completion of a company-designated maintenance aptitude, interest and skills evaluation test
• Candidate must we willing and able to work overtime and emergency call-in or call-back work and take formal trade school courses as selected by management
• Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience and/or appropriate technical trade school coursework is needed
• Must be willing and able to perform basic and complex maintenance repair tasks in all areas of the plant, as well as light electrical diagnosis
• The position requires that you have the ability to lift 50 pounds, work with heights, sit, stand, kneel, crawl, bend and work in a variety of hot and cold situations
