Job Description
Principal Accountabilities
- Work on the shift with assigned to them as well as be flexible to work other shifts as needed, to work with contractors and attend site meetings
- Support the culture development of Mars, 5 Principles and Engagement
- Support Mars safety standards, tools and techniques
- Identify, evaluate and eliminate safety risks using behavior based safety program and near miss reporting
- Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on various manufacturing equipment, PLCs, control networks, instrumentation, drives/servos, and electrical system
- Complete work orders as assigned and proactively look at work orders to complete as time permits
- Document preventative maintenance and work orders using SAP
- Troubleshoot and repair routine and advanced electrical issues, and mechanical issues as needed
- Conduct equipment breakdown analysis
- Participate and sometimes lead Focused Improvement Teams to eliminate losses within functional area
- Train other TRs on shift in areas of controls to grow their capability
- Provide technical support to reduce losses and support team’s equipment ownership improvements
- 90% of time on production floor working to deliver results, assisting in equipment maintenance, setup and changeover
- Achieve and maintain a high level of technical competency.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and complexity
- Flow to work as needed to meet the business need

Key Functional Skills & Knowledge
- Understand and adhere to LOTO, confined space, and all other plant safety/GMP requirements
- Strong operational knowledge of manufacturing processes & equipment
- Background of technical skills and equipment within main area of responsibility
- Effective written and oral communication
- Ability to teach and develop TRs and operators
- Advanced computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook Email, SAP, Internet
- Proficiency in WOs, PMs, and maintenance activities of a manufacturing plant
- Strong electrical, controls, instrumentation, and mechanical skills
- Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problems solving skills
- Proven ability to analyze data, determine root cause, and eliminate losses using IWS tools
- Demonstrated ability to develop self and continue to learn/grow
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance/reliability in a production environment
- Strong controls and electrical skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely
- Ability to work directly with all levels and functions within the facility
- Able to deal with ambiguity effectively
- Successful completion of a drug and background screen
- Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, heights, and/or confined spaces
- Have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree in industrial electrical/controls or related degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a TPM/technical, manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience working in quality and safety.
- Functional knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts
