Job Description
Duties And Responsibilities:
This position will set-up and operate any machine tooling, lay out work, perform any dismantling, fitting or assembly work for plant maintenance or construction. This position will also develop standard operating procedures; provide training for equipment operation and reinforce all safety procedures.
- Follow all plant safety rules & required PPE at all times
- Ensure safe operation practices
- Preventative maintenance on all production equipment
- Installation and modification of mechanical equipment
- Fabrication for machinery and special items, as required
- Repairs manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, pumps, piping and other mechanical equipment
- Performs simple to intermediate equipment and pipe installations
- Compiles with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs
- Rebuild production equipment
- Conduct inventory of spare parts
- Assist with and learn troubleshooting of production and facilities equipment breakdowns
- Ensure safety precautions and proper methods of preventative and Predictive Maintenance on various types of equipment
- Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Requirements for this position would include but not be limited to the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required for these roles.
- Proven mathematical skills as well as strong reasoning ability and problem solving skills.
- High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers, presses, lathes, grinders, gauges and other related tool room equipment.
- Knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic materials, as well as cutting lubricants, grinding compounds and other processing materials.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
- Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment.
- The ability to travel domestically for training within the first one or two months with the Company.
- Employees must have their own set of basic tools.
- Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
Preferred Requirements
- An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.).
- Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
Working Conditions
- Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
- The noise level is frequently loud
