As a Machinist III, you will set-up and operate special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within the organization.

As a Machinist III, you will:

  • Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required

  • Perform quality assurance activities required by manufacturing or engineering specifications and ISO requirements to ensure compliance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting knowledge

  • Follow and record internal HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant environment

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have at least 1+ years’ experience setting up, monitoring, and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced safety-first manufacturing environment

  • Display an advanced mechanical aptitude and experience with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment

  • Have good machining and general product knowledge to be able to maximize equipment performance

  • Demonstrate the ability to identify problems and be able to develop solutions

  • Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow safety policies and procedures

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 2nd shift (2 - 10 p.m.) following initial training on 1st shift (6 a.m. - 2 p.m. for roughly 4-8 weeks), with overtime as required to meet business needs
