In this role you will be advocating, educating and ensuring that machine learning (ML) teams across the enterprise are following best practices around the preferred technology stacks.  As a member of the newly formed Machine Learning Center of Excellence, this position will use in-depth knowledge and experience to oversee the writing and modifying of complex software applications.  This position will also create detailed specifications, conduct quality assurance reviews of peer's application programming, and act as a resource for team members with less experience. 

Essential functions:

• Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
• Analyzing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem
• Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world
• Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning
• Supervising the data acquisition process if more data is needed
• Defining validation strategies
• Defining the preprocessing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset
• Defining data augmentation pipelines
• Training models and tuning their hyper parameters
• Analyzing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them
• Deploying models to production

Technical environment / opportunity:

• Building NLP, Computer Vision and Time Series Machine Learning models
• Python and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, matplotlib, Spacy, BERT, GPT, OpenCV, H20.ai, etc.
• Deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Keras
• Visualizing and manipulating big datasets
• Building REST APIs to operationalize ML models
• Domino Data Labs, Jupyter Hub
• ML Ops tools Git, Jenkins, New Relic, PCF Cloud deployments
• AWS and Azure Services related to Machine Learning
• Python, Spark and Hadoop
• Linux

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most if not all of the work is to be performed at home.  Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
