We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of London Equities Product control - Team Lead. 

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Primary engagement to all Front Office and Back Office senior stakeholders for Equity Derivatives.
  • Driving change, both strategic and tactical
  • Oversight of aspects of all daily/monthly processes and controls performed by near-shore team. Deal effectively with day-to-day production issues and appropriate escalation of issues or risks arising from this.
  • Ensure compliance with audit recommendation, FIM and maintenance of the control environment
  • Training and development of the near-shore team
  • Lead the near-shore team in identifying and implementing process/systems changes to ensure function is aligned with best practice

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

  • Very good analytical skills, supported by numerate degree at 2:1 level or better (or equivalent)
  • Either qualified accountant supported by numerical degree, or minimum 5yrs post graduate experience working in analytical Product Control role
  • Good knowledge of the Equity Derivatives asset class, alternate asset classes will be considered too.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to be able to face off to management, both oral and written;
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Excellent relationship management skills, being able to face off with key senior stakeholders, such as desk heads, and provide summary of issues and business summaries to senior Product Control management as and when requested;
  • Demonstrated success working proactively both independently and in teams. Familiarity with operating in an environment where high levels of autonomy and accountability are the norm;
  • Ambitious and motivated – a “self-starter” who is proactive and driven;
  • Experience of working in a Product Control P&L function, with strong control focus and proven understanding of the Product Control workflow;

The base location for this role is London 8CS, supported by hybrid working arrangements.
