JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

This job role will be responsible for gathering the requirements, providing the work estimates, preparing functional design, performing testing & leading production implementation of Transportation logistics IT solutions.

Responsibilities include writing functional specification documents and integration test scripts. Incumbent will demonstrate expertise in the end-to-end workflows in transportation domain and should be able to coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to provide right solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business teams to understand As-Is processes, identify functional & non-functional requirements and translate them into software requirements. This involves the collection, analysis, and prioritization of requirements from the product management, support and business sources.

The role is viewed as skilled in IT development methodologies, application development and troubleshooting of distributed application. The position manages the completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent works in close collaboration with peers & other IT teams.

BACKGROUND /EXPERIENCE :

Experience: 8+ Years of progressive IT Experience

Education: BE / B Tech / MCA

• Knowledge of supply chain & expertise in transportation logistics (International & Domestic planning, Inbound, Outbound, Multi-mode - Ocean, Air, Ground, Freight Analytics, Consolidation, Optimization etc.)

• Demonstrated expertise in any of the standard industry solutions for transportation planning such as Blue Yonder (jda) TM, Infor Nexus (GT Nexus), Oracle/SAP TM etc.

• Demonstrated functional analyst skills with E2E exposure of application life cycle (Waterfall and Agile methodologies)

• Demonstrated expertise in leading requirement gathering session with business & operations team

• Perform requirement analysis and translate that into functional specifications understandable by programmers/testers

• Creates and maintains well designed and written test plans

• Assist the Project Manager (Development) & Team Leader (Support) in the execution of project schedules

• Own functional solution and be the single point contact for the technical team on requirements

• Good knowledge on SQL queries, object-oriented/Functional programming & IT Architecture

• Experience in troubleshooting complex customer issues. Apply advanced debugging techniques including tracing, and performance deviations.

• Experience in one or more relational databases such as Oracle, MYSQL

• Knowledge of Blue Yonder (jda) TM , Infor Nexus (GT Nexus)

• Knowledge in data analysis (Experience in global logistics data analytics)

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure Devops etc.

• Experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies.

• Knowledge of API programming and common data structure formats like XML, JSON, EDI etc.

• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), messaging concepts, SOAP, WSDL webservices

The candidate must be very strong in communication skills, both written and verbal. Should be dedicated and have good attitude towards work, self-motivated and willing to take ownership for own & team deliverables. Should be able to work independently on assigned tasks. Should be willing to work on flexible timings to collaborate with global teams on need basis. Flexible to lead & own system improvement initiatives for development, support and life cycle maintenance.

Shift :  Project dependent

1 PM IST to 10 PM IST (North America & Europe projects) 7:30 AM IST to 4:30 PM IST (Asia Pacific Projects) Weekend deployment activities & support (On-demand – Monthly or emergency release)
