The Logistics Operations Manager II- Project Management, will assist in the management of the Hosur distribution facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for leading the design and implementation of logistics projects

• Provide project support to direct supervisors or engineers.

• As a leadership role, the logistics engineer 4 should have the leadership of the logistics engineer 1, 2 or 3 to complete various indicators.

• Work with planning engineers to provide more logistics field data to support the smooth progress of the project.

• Reviewing of Bill of Materials for new builds

• Managing Engineering Changes for logistics with system approval

• Creation and amendment of material master for production parts

• Creation and amendment of Warehouse racks and line side racks

• Changes to the warehouse storage types as per the requirement

• POU readiness and material presentation as per production requirement

• Checking of production orders to ensure there is no issue with regards to material availability at POU

• Managing AMC for logistics assets

• Managing Shelf life parts for the facility to ensure no expired parts are used for production

• Space Improvement opportunities in warehouse and line side

B​A CKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in Logistics Operations and/or Supply Chain management

• Must have the ability to work with Caterpillar and client managers and possess good communication and analytical skills.

• Experience in driving continuous improvement projects.

• Preferably 6 Sigma certified
