Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- Advise on the corporate commodity tracking system (LESS) management and structures and staffing levels to ensure that they are at all times adequate to meet the requirements of the effective implementation and usage of LESS.
- Periodically check and produce Best Before Dates and Losses report to ensure all records are correctly and timely captured in the corporate commodity tracking system (LESS).
- For Global Commodity Management Facility (GCMF) cargo, ensure sales Order and Internal Purchase Orders are duly processed from the concerned parties at Country office and Headquarters level.
- Share status update regarding the reliability index and backlog of the AO and alert if there is a need to deploy LESS support staff to help clear the backlog.
- Coordinate at all levels to support the operations and ensure that all data about shipping/Global Commodity Management Facility is available in LESS before the food commodities arrive at the port and/ or uplift points (in case of local procurement).

- Review documentation and user guides for new enhancements and initiatives in LESS (Last mile, warehouse mobile app etc.) that have been produced to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability.
- Identify requirements, develop ad-hoc reports and provide food commodity data to support decision-making processes and Food Supply Chain management.
- Collects and analyses relevant technical data from diverse sources to forecast operational needs under various scenarios and makes evidence-based proposals.
- Ability to proactively identify gaps in information and findings, analyse and evaluate information, develop statistics, and translate into information management products to facilitate decision-making and demonstrate performance.
- Plans, coordinates, and manages warehouse operations to promote safe, efficient, and sustainable operating procedures.
- Participate in the review of internal processes and procedures and identify ways to increase the day-to-day efficiencies.
- Analyses context of the challenges to lead the design and management of supply chain network, to proactively mitigate and/or address dynamic supply chain challenges, to ensure operational optimization.
- Other as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: 1 or more years of relevant work experience in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or other related field, with an advanced educational degree (OR) first university degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience (relevance as per defined in the Terms of Reference for the position)
Administrative/Assistant/Secretariat work experience is not considered, except for years holding Associate positions or above (UN equivalent grade G-6 or above), in which case each year is counted at 50%
Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
Citizenship: Only Yemeni citizens are eligible for this position.
