Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Liquidity Risk Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. Role Purpose The selected candidate will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight of liquidity risk management, and participate in liquidity remediation programmes. This role requires a deep understanding of liquidity risk, but more in terms of first-hand management of liquidity rather than the reporting of liquidity. This role requires deep understanding of best practice and regulatory expectations for enterprise risk management. The risk function provides oversight over all first line activities, including the risk appetite framework, limits and controls for business activities and data. Role also requires a fundamental understanding of all business line activities and their impact in the liquidity position of the bank. In this role, you will:
