Job Description:-
Develop needs and services plans. Provide assessment to identify changing needs.- Provide counseling aimed at preparing the client to analyze and better understand situations.- Provide group skills training as established by treatment plans and team on behaviors which include but are not limited to: behavior management, communication, coping ,problem solving, anger management and social skills; participate in pre group planning and session development, role playing and other individual and group training methods and activities.- Offer supervision of the participants in program as necessary.- Coordinate with program staff in order to ensure proper coverage and group facilitation is available at all times.- Gather and create a group topic schedule. Utilize best practice group curriculum for all groups.- Lead assigned groups in the mental health program, to include skills training activities.- Complete daily progress notes and appropriate documentation for all services as necessary.- Complete written documentation per program requirements, and in compliance with organization policy and training.- Using established best practices list, provide basic living skills training and life skills coaching and education to clients and families based on established treatment plan and goals; model appropriate skillsand behaviors; supply educational material, offer suggestions, and use appropriate tools and resources;lead, organize and participate in specific skills training activities as determined by the beneficiery and family- Schedule and coordinate group sessions. Job Requirements:- Strong knowledge of local community resources.- Knowledge of child/adolescent development, behavior and transitional planning for emancipating foster youth.- Ability to relate to youth and families in a positive manner.- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with youth and families.- Knowledge of child abuse issues.- Knowledge of team, family and group dynamics.- Must be able to function independently and be able to seek guidance when necessary to assist in working with the children and families.- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers effectively.- Excellent problem solving, writing, communication, organizational and time management skills.- Skill to maintain a professional, confidential work environment.- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner.- Ability to work cooperatively with a culturally diverse resident population and work force
