AniCura Bohuslän Animal Hospital in Uddevalla is a modern specialist hospital for dogs and cats that receives about 13,000 patients per year. In addition to specialist care, we also provide emergency care, intensive care, outpatient and preventive care in a technically well-equipped environment. We are 35 employees who work with a big heart to give all four-legged patients and their pet owners the highest service and the best care. We work in medicine, orthopedics and surgery.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

We are now looking for a veterinary nurse to work in our operating room. At the department, we perform everything from prophylactic procedures to advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. We treat both well-booked patients and patients in need of emergency surgery.

Our operating room consists of two operating rooms and the same number of preparation places.

We also have a dental department that receives booked patients for PTR and measures five days / week.

As a licensed veterinary nurse in our operating department, you work in teams together with veterinarians, veterinary nurses and animal caretakers. Together, you are responsible for the ward's patients pre-, intra- and postoperatively. Your work largely consists of planning anesthetics together with other professional categories in the team, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthetized patients and taking responsibility for the patient's post-operative monitoring.

In the operating room, we have a high level of education with veterinary nurses who further their education in AniCura Continuing Education for anesthesia. Of course, we also offer other forms of continuous training such as external courses, internal training and lectures. Our experienced staff is happy to share their expertise with new colleagues and as part of AniCura we have a large network of contacts with good opportunities for knowledge exchange.

YOUR PROFILE

· Licensed Veterinary Nurse (requirements) with the habit of working independently with anesthetized patients.

· We value your ability to take great personal responsibility, your willingness to work in teams for the patient's best interests, your good communication skills and your ambition to develop in your role as an anesthesia nurse.

· Specialist competence or equivalent experience in anaesthesiology is an advantage.

The position is a permanent employment of 100% full time (40 hours / week) with the possibility of access immediately. We apply 6 months probationary employment.
