Pay - from £14.93 per hour
Various Shifts and hours are available, this is across Morning, Afternoon and Night Shifts
AM / PM Shift attracts 20% Shift Premium
Night Shift attracts 33% Shift Premium
Overtime may also be available, in addition to your contractual hours
New LGV drivers joining the business before November to support the Partnership through Peak will receive a welcome payment of £1,000, payable at the end of January

As a driving professional you’ll already know of the critical importance our transport teams have to Waitrose & Partners. Our HGV Class 1 drivers ensure stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers right across the UK.
Based at our Waitrose & Partners site in Bracknell, you’ll be delivering ambient, frozen and chilled stock to our branches across London and the South-West in our modern fleet of articulated lorries. You’ll have full responsibility for the vehicle you’re taking out that day, completing all unit/trailer checks and safety checks before any departure and following the correct defect reporting procedures. Once on the road, you’ll be an ambassador for the Waitrose & Partners brand, upholding the high standards we are known for whilst adhering to the driving laws and regulations set out by the Highway code.

There are various Part Time Shifts available, predominantly at the weekend but hours and shifts can be discussed during an interview.

More about the role:
Complete all branch / warehouse deliveries and supplier collections within given timescales
Complete all daily vehicle checks and follow correct defect reporting procedures
Complete all required documentation accurately
Operate the vehicle in a safe and economical manner at all times ensuring that it is maintained in a clean and tidy state
Effectively communicate problems and delays to all relevant parties
Safely loading and unloading whilst complying with the correct procedures for given location
Maintain a full knowledge of the Highway code, WTD, EU Drivers Hours Regulations and Vehicle operations
Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety legislation and Operational procedures are adhered to and to work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times ensuring the safety of self and others
Required Qualifications:
Valid UK LGV1 C+E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points)
Valid (DCPD) Drivers Qualification Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Previous experience of driving an articulated lorry
Desirable Experience:
