Have you got what it takes to be our new Leisure Centre Duty Manager?
We currently have an exciting new role to join our experienced and friendly team at the Fire Service College Leisure Centre as a Duty Manager .Assisting the Leisure Centre Manager you would be responsible for the smooth running of the site, developing customer relationships and ensuring he safety of our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step up or to grow within the Leisure Centre Industry .
The Leisure Officer will carry out daily tasks which can range from lifeguarding, general running of reception, membership administration, dealing with customers questions, cleaning and first aid. We are ideally looking for someone with a RLSS NPLQ although it could be someone working towards this and someone who has experience of working within the leisure industry.
Shift hours between 6am - 8pm
Location Moreton in Marsh
What you’ll be doing:
You will ensure the highest standard of customer care & service delivery is achieved within the centre. They will deal with complaints and issues brought to them in an appropriate way and work with the Sports Centre Manager to resolve any issues.
Carry out lifeguarding duties in line with centre and national standards as part of their daily shift duties.
Carry out any training required in line with National Guidance to remain competent for role.
Will assist the Sports Centre Manager in the management of the centre across shifts to ensure the centre is operational at all times.
Will assist the Sports Centre Manager in a safe way that ensures all customers and staff are able to use the centre with minimal risk to their Health & Safety.
Will lead by example setting standards for visiting zero hour lifeguard staff.
May be asked to assist in delivery of Centre Swimming Lessons as required.
Will be competent in membership and administration.
What we’re looking for:
Ideally a Level 2 swimming teacher qualification or working towards
Preferred experience within the Leisure industry or other suitable role.
Be in possession or happy to work towards gaining an RLSS NPLQ qualification.
An interest in sport and the Leisure industry.
Required to obtain an advanced DBS certificate as part of the process .
Competent swimmer
Ideally Level 2 gym instructor qualification or working towards but not essential
