Working within the Learning & Development (L&D) team under the guidance of the Totara LMS Manager, the post holders’ main duties will include the on/off-boarding of users, creating new eLearning content such as quizzes and activities within the Learning Management System (LMS) and providing first and second tier Customer Support to stakeholders.

Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
- Update and maintain content on the LMS, ensuring all eLearning, video content, news updates and interactive materials meet required standards
- Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on best practice and suitability of learning solutions within the LMS
- Work in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to develop effective learning courses materials
- Maintain and develop new eLearning guides and training support resources
- Provide first and second tier Customer Support to stakeholders, ensuring all site requests are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with SLAs
- Build and run site reports and provide data analysis to stakeholders
- Upload user records and maintain site hierarchy and organisation structure
It is anticipated that the Learning Technologist will spend 60% of their time updating and maintaining content on the LMS, with 40% of time in analysis activities, review of learning materials, updating action plans and general administration and communication duties.
These percentages may vary if business or operational priorities change.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Experience of Totara or Moodle LMS (or equivalent) Administration experience
- A understanding of web accessibility and industry trends
- Strong analytical skills – expert with MS Office, particularly Excel/Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage priorities and keep to timescales
- Report-writing skills, with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being a strong and collaborative team player
Desirable:
- To have demonstrable previous experience of acting as a Systems Administrator
- To have demonstrable IT skills, as the process involves using bespoke IT systems
- To have a working understanding of learning techniques and eLearning development
- Qualification in multimedia or experience in a similar position
- Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Articulate 360 software
