Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • working with the Operations Director Proactively to identify opportunities for process improvements

  • identifying and developing robust solutions that increase site reliability, capability and reduce wastes

  • being accountable for monitoring and improvement of manufacturing capability for defined products / processes

  • leading cross functional teams using the Lean tools

  • facilitating root cause analysis and brainstorming sessions with cross functional teams or individuals where appropriate

  • owning individual projects with defined timelines

  • working with and training others as appropriate to create, capture, organize and store process knowledge, in a manner that supports effective and efficient retrieval and re-use

  • supporting the operational management team as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience; preferably green belt certified with experience of short improvement events

  • Understanding of the Lean tools and methodology (such as 5S/6S)

  • Experience with analysis of data, and familiar with problem solving tools

  • Ideally, you will have experience of a fast-moving manufacturing environment

  • Ability to communicate at all levels and able to write and present clear, concise documents to high standard

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • A positive attitude and genuine passion for improvement focused project work

  • Good working experience Microsoft Office - Excel, Powerpoint
