The incumbent helps lead continuous improvement implementation and employee involvement. The primary objective of the site lean coordinator is to create and/or sustain a beneficial change culture within the employee population in order to drive attainment of long term business strategies and annual operating plan objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
•Implement MPS tools to the shop floor
•Help create a visual workplace through the creation of signage and Andon signals
•Administer training as needed (5S, E.W.I.T, 8 Wastes, 5 why, etc.) including new hire training.
•Conduct Team Board Audits.
•Offer ongoing training and technical assistance on Workshop projects.
•Collect and track employee suggestions
•Generate ideas to improve employee participation
•Assist in project tracking, generating reports, maintaining project files, and auditing of projects for sustaining improvements.
•Encourage team members to provide continuous improvement recommendations.
•Facilitate/Co-Facilitate Process Improvement Events.
•Demonstrated ability to apply performance measures and ability to diagnose practical solutions to plant problems utilizing Kaizen techniques.
•Prepare PIE Presentation for Management and shop floor employees.
•Perform any other work which may be assigned by the Leadership team
•On occasion be able to work 2nd shift depending on the needs of the business.
•May perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•Must have good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in teams and with diverse team members
•Knowledge of lean concepts
•The Plainfield facility has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had one or more years of experience in the position or similar position.
Education Details:
Bachelor's Level Degree (Preferred)
