Frasers Group are currently looking for a Lead Virtual Desktop Engineer to join our growing Systems and Cloud team. JOB DESCRIPTION

This role requires on site presence at our Shirebrook Head Office 1 day per week.

• Leading our virtual desktop strategy and team
• Working alongside the wider infrastructure, security and end user teams
• Ensuring we provide a secure, robust and reliable virtual desktop experience
• Driving the virtual desktop strategy, understanding the evolving end user requirements
• Managing Citrix and AVD instances as well as involvement in SASE / zero trust environment
• Building strong working relationships across different teams, working collaboratively with end users

You will be joining at an exciting time for the team as we are evaluating several virtual desktop technologies and you will be an integral part of driving this transformation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years’ experience managing and configuring Citrix environments
• 3 years’ experience managing and configuring Azure virtual desktops.
• 3 years’ experience application packaging
• Experience of virtual desktop architecture
• Friendly and approachable attitude and able to communicate to both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Able to comprehend business impact of IT and the risks and opportunities associated with change
• Skills to allow you to manage and prioritise your workload
• Experience of creating clear written documentation
• Ability to work a flexible working pattern for regular out of hours changes

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with SOTI / Intune / SCCM
• Team leadership experience
• Understanding of SASE / zero trust
