Acts as an ambassador, coach, mentor, and a technical expert in an agile delivery team
As part of a team, is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-quality software
Activities including analysis, design, coding, automation, testing, build, release, monitoring and support of components and sub-systems
Work in an agile, collaborative manner to identify and refine work items and encourage a team approach in the development of components and sub-systems
Pursue, encourage, and facilitate the growth of teams to create “T-Shaped†members rather than specialised individuals and roles
Role model for software development best practices
Role model for software configuration management, secure and maintainable coding, build and release best practices
Maintains and supports existing software
Takes an active interest in technology sharing knowledge with the immediate team and the wider Development community
Actively encourages continuous improvement of software through inspect and adapt approach
Work with the wider development community and teams to improve and progress technologies adopted
Makes recommendations regarding the systems and software, both voluntarily and as requested
As and when required, undertake other functions and responsibilities of the team to meet the business need
Work with different stakeholders selecting the appropriate form of communication independently or as part of a team
What we're looking for:
Experience as a senior software developer, designing, developing and supporting enterprise applications
Ability to coach and influence team members on best practice and technology
Use of and experience with full stack technologies, application frameworks and enterprise architectures
Microsoft Technology Stack, .net framework & C#
Requirements Analysis - Questioning, listening to and understanding a customer to extract their exact requirements
Solution Design – Taking requirements and designing a solution that meets those needs accounting for the wider software ecosystem; to include selection of technology, tools, patterns/practices, maintainability, reliability, security, performance etc.
Problem Solving - Ability to apply logical thinking to derive the root cause of a technical issue quickly and accurately
Object Oriented Design – To include knowledge and application of common design patterns in an Enterprise environment
Database design and development
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical audiences.
