The Role

The Lead Pension Administrator is primarily responsible for the day to day administration of the retirement plans for our clients and their participants. We are looking for someone to join our great team of professionals, who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can provide quality work and a premier customer experience.

This role will work in a team environment by providing leadership and support and will be responsible for advanced data analysis, non-automated complex calculation processing and other tasks associated with servicing Defined Benefit Plans from a consultative perspective. Other duties include:

  • Analyzing, performing, and reviewing non-automated complex calculations manually, executing on client requests, responding to escalated participant inquiries and analyzing/solving data and other complex issues.

  • Participating in implementation, corporate actions and other special projects in addition to the provision of ongoing services.

  • Providing a full range of administrative and operational support services to a variety of defined benefit clients and plan participants in a fast paced and time sensitive environment.

  • Serving as a role model and coach to Pension Specialist and assist in answering escalated questions and responsible for the final review of work performed by other team members to ensure quality control and accuracy.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of proven defined benefit experience

  • Detail-oriented with good mathematical and analytical skills

  • Technically inclined with application experience and aptitude (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, etc.)

  • Leadership, mentoring and coaching ability

  • You have both strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • You’re a leader with self-motivation and determination to succeed

  • You have a mathematical background and enjoy working with spreadsheets

  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • You have a strong aptitude to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment

  • You have an ability work within budgeted timeframes to maintain client profitability without sacrificing quality
