Take ownership to ensure delivery targets
 

As our Lead Materials Planner you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Working with the sales and commercial team, region personnel, AMO and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) across multiple time horizons in to physical orders and ensures they are delivered to meet the customer requirements.
 

As a Lead Materials Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing incoming demand, identifying order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
  • Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements whilst minimizing inventory and shipping costs
  • Monitoring of safety stock, global and aging inventory, working with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
  • Assisting with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure incorporation into S&OP process
  • Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts
  • Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
  • Assisting in the execution and drives consistency of the S&OP process
  • Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
  • Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
  • Working with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
  • Performing various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
  • Implementing inventory stocking strategies
  • Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
  • Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
  • Working to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
  • Assisting with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process
  • Assisting in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process


Fuel your passion
 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years’ experience)
  • Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
  • Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency

Desired Characteristics:

  • Certifications; APICS Certification

The team is currently working a hybrid remote model a couple of days per week but a return to in-office work is anticipated at a later date.
