As a Lead, Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for leading others in the support of plant operations and maintaining equipment vital to the manufacture of product, including but not limited to Shipping and Receiving, QA, Production and Management Teams. This person is accountable for leading others in the manufacturing of Coca-Cola products in accordance with product specifications and conformance to quality standards of the Company.

Function Specific Activities

• Understand the manufacturing processes associated with supporting Filler/Packaging//Palletizing/Forklift/CIP/Sanitizing and all other product manufacturing related operations and equipment.
• Direct the work of others as needed to adequately support downtime events in manufacturing/production floor and warehouse areas.
• Ability to use computer and any programs or applications as required.
• Recommend and implement preventive and predictive maintenance measures.
• Facilitate Maintenance Department raw materials/parts/supplies as needed.
• Notify Supervision and/or Managers in matters concerning production, personnel, and equipment.  Recommend the hire, discharge, and discipline to Supervision and/or Management.
• Work cooperatively with Materials Management, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Departments.  Assist in resolving matters that affect the efficient and effective operations of the facility.
• Comply and lead compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Policies and Procedures, and Coca-Cola Quality System procedures.
• Operate Forklifts and high lifts to perform maintenance-related job functions
• Maintain cleanliness in department and work area
• Perform and evaluate training of associates.
• Will cross train to provide support with other manufacturing functions
• Will be responsible to conduct and participate in GMP and system audits
• Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Ability to work extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Move and lift material weighing 50 pounds to distances of 10 feet or more, floor to waist.
• Ability to push and pull force of 80lbs.
• Ability to squat and bend over at the waist.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in temperature extremes.
• Any other duties as assigned to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes, and work environment.

Knowledge and Required Skills

• Database and System Knowledge â€“ Experience with CMMS preferably SAP
• Inventory Management â€“Detail oriented and ability to track and report part usage.

• Business Etiquette â€“ Good professional communication.
• Resource Knowledge â€“ Knowledge of internal and external tools and resources available to accomplish tasks and achieve results.
• Knowledge Transfer â€“ Ability to learn and train others.  This includes the ability to present information in a logical manner and check for understanding to ensure transfer of knowledge and skills.

Education

• High School or General Education Diploma
• 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility as a Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Tech, Skilled Maintenance, or related position.
