About the role
BMC Innovation Labs is looking for a Lead Backend Engineer / Innovator to join our team. In this role, you will be working as part of a small agile development team and will be responsible for the development of these innovation style projects. Regardless of seniority, you will play a key role and will be able to have a large influence on the direction that the product takes. Â
You will be a self starter, this is important as it is a small team and you will often wear many hats. We will support you throughout your journey with us but the people that do the best will take the initiative.Â
About the ideal candidate
You should come from a software engineering background and will have been hands on with a few of the following languages: Java, Golang, Node.js, Python, Scala. We don’t take a one language fits all approach, we relish engineers that believe each language has their own strengths and will use them accordingly (we share the right tool for the right job mentality).Â
Most importantly, we don’t need you to know everything. If you feel you have a good foundation and are willing and open to learning new skills – we will provide you that platform.Â
