YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical lead and coordination of the Lead Group „Functional Development SOFC/SOEC“ in the skill department SOFC-Systems (Skill Team DDS) 
• Responsibility for the development content of the functional development in international customer and R&D projects in the technical field SOFC/SOEC
• Responsibility for the fulfillment of the project milestones in regards to budget, date and technical content
• Definition and continuous improvement of the generic SOFC DVP in alignment with the responsible skill areas in AVL on system, subsystem and component level
• Definition of test cases and execution of validation processes in accordance to the DVP in collaboration with the AVL test factory, calibration and simulation on system, subsystem and component level
• Interface responsibility for project-involved skill teams at AVL: Design, simulation, control-software development, NVH and plant and production engineering
• SOFC Stack benchmarking
• Definition, development and test of SOFC/SOEC spec. operating & control strategies
• Technical review, documentation and presentation of development results in meetings with customer, technical teams and steering 
• Resource planning and technical lead of the team members of the Lead Group
• Support of the skill team leader DDS in his disciplinary roll by preparation of the annual employee appraisal, target agreements and training programs and the creation of  training materials
• Support of the AVL business development in customer acquisition
• Support of the AVL innovation and IP processes

 YOUR PROFILE:

• Master degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, physics, engineering graduate of a secondary technical college/university of applied sciences/university of technology, or similar qualification and/or expertise gained through practical professional experience in the field of SOFC/SOEC (min. 3-5 years)
• Experience with operation of fuel cell systems and subsystems on a testbed desired
• First leadership experience in international development teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team, poise and ability to solve conflicts
• Very high degree of operational readiness, commitment and self- reliant acting, flexibility and willingness to travel (daily/weekly base)
• Confident in conducting negotiations in German and English
• Certification process knowhow and knowledge of measurement & instrumentation desired
