Responsibilities

The Network Strategy and Operations team has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer. In this role you will partner with others to lead the development, design, and integration of solutions that support our cloud connectivity and network automation initiatives. You will have the unique opportunity to work across multiple teams to help deliver innovative solutions in support of EHI’s technology strategy. Through familiarity with emerging technologies, security, and design practices, you will have the exciting role of helping to provide secure and responsive solutions to our business. You will be a key component in planning the evolution of EHI’s technology ecosystem with a focus on automation and evolution to the cloud. We are looking for a leader to help drive development across several technology solutions and environments, and to also help bring these solutions into reality.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• The Lead Engineer position requires 8 or more years of related experience
• Experienced in mentoring and coaching team members at an organizational level
• 5+ years experience with Ansible/Chef/Terraform or another similar infrastructure-as-code automation platform
• 3+ years experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Proficient in one or more scripting or markup languages (i.e. TCL, APL, PowerShell, Python, JSON/XML etc.)
• Advocate for following industry best practices related to code management, collaboration and deployment
• A proven track record of evaluating, recommending, and implementing new solutions
• An appreciation of building secure, scalable infrastructure
• Knowledge of web application architecture and supporting infrastructure
• Experience working across multiple technology domains to develop standards
• Ability to work alone or in groups, managing multiple projects and finding solutions to keeping projects on track
• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Experience with a variety of network architectures
• Experience with network security solutions
