Lead DevOps Engineer – Hux

Description:

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be helping us deploy, automate and maintain the cloud platform behind customer experience and marketing data solutions for our clients. We’re a fast-paced Agile environment with a strong focus on adopting modern “DevOps” technologies that enable us to build a highly reliable, resilient and available infrastructure. We believe that our automation code is a significant part of our product offering, and that by targeting an end user outside of our team we are setting the expectation that the level of automation and ease of use is beyond most DevOps goals.

What you will do:

• Design and implement new environments, services and application architecture modifications.
• Manage AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools
• Automate continuous deployment and integration methodologies to achieve our end-to-end automation goals.
• Design a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure with HA capabilities to support SLAs and business continuity plans.
• Be vigilant about security and adhere to best practices to secure our cloud infrastructure and real-time platform.
• Iterate, expect that we will make decisions that will be incorrect and that what we learned will improve our code.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Programming Languages (Python, Ruby, GoLang, and similar).
• 1+ years of related technical experience in cloud solutions development and deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc).
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Terragrunt, etc) and configuration management tools (Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, etc)
• Experience with microservice design concepts and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

• Experience with systems administration in Windows and/or Linux based operating system environments.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps deployment strategies and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, AWS Code Pipeline/Deploy, CodeFresh, etc)
• Security concepts such as least privilege and zero trust
• A keen interest and knowledge of Test Driven Development.
