Then we have an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled Data Engineer community.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data to lead within our multi cloud environment to help shape the future of insurance through cutting-edge predictive analytics and Data Science. 

A bit about the job:

Data is the life blood of any modern organisation and Aviva is no different.  Our Data Engineering teams sits within Aviva’s Quantum Data Science Practise (covering areas including Machine Learning, Analytics, Data Engineering, AI, etc) but also services Claims, Pricing, Financial Crimes, Fraud and Underwriting with the data they need to provide our customers with the best products.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience of managing a Data Engineering teams

• Experience of owning the design, development and delivery of data pipelines and best practice in SQL and python.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and robust code in SQL, Python

• Deep understanding and expertise of software engineering concepts, including the importance of CI/CD and current best practices

• Experience in data architecture, data warehousing and modelling techniques

What you’ll get for this role:

• Salary: National up to £57,000 /London up to £66,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
