Lead Commercial Financial Analyst supports India Commercial Finance Leader in driving commercial strategy for region and achieving commercial plan. In additional he she shall be responsible for driving commercial process improvements and compliance with commercial finance guidelines.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support in finalization of commercial strategy for India region and execution of same. Support commercial financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis while supporting regional sales / commercial teams. Provide analytics on competition, market share, deal win loss analysis etc.
• Review of deals in term of financial and commercial risks and advise actions for mitigation of same. Analyze cash flow for new deals and advise on deal structuring and payment terms for cash maximization..
• Make effective credit rating assessment of potential customers, subcontractors and partners to mitigate financial risks and propose acceptable payment terms and conditions in the contract to ensure payment security and improved cash flow
• Own Commercial Finance Pacing and Closing throughout weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews, provide analysis as requested upon
• Maximize Down Payments for new orders by supporting early issuance of bonds and other documents for down payment collection. Track down payment received and performance against plan.
• Own Trade Finance Portfolio. Review trade finance instruments ( Bank Guarantees / Letter of Credits) for new deals and ensure compliance with Trade Finance guidelines. Work with Commercial, Operations & Treasury teams for closure of expired bank guarantees and reduction of exposure.
• Drive initiatives and Partner with Commercial and Operations team to reduce OWC and Past due. Leverage ROE on OTR to ITO.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years in Finance / Accounting. Prior Experience of GE Business Commercial Finance is a plus.
