Position Summary

Lead Cloud and Infrastructure Architect

As a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect, you’ll be responsible for leading the design, implementation & configuration of cutting-edge Datacenter and Cloud technologies, defining solutions that look and perform superbly across all platforms. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment alongside cross-functional products in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Private Cloud Services etc.), alongside DevOps tools. The role will drive the development of innovative solutions in cloud and infrastructure technologies.

Work you’ll do

• Deliver technology advisory and implementation solutions that extract and maximize business value from IT investments for SNET and our clients
• Providing solutions as per the requirement given in the areas of Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Private Cloud Services etc.)
• Encompasses architecture, engineering, and provide third level support for operations services for the IT strategy, innovation, operations, and infrastructure required to deliver efficient and effective platforms fundamental to business success
• Engage with Enterprise Architects regarding technical architecture and details of Cloud Migration and Datacenter Transformation
• Architecture, design, and support of the SNET hybrid cloud offering
• Research and development for emerging infrastructure technologies
• Leading the proof of concepts and innovative solutions to understand and derive best solutions for the client infrastructure
• Work with application owners/groups to ensure proper architecture and function of hosting infrastructure
• Develop functional designs, prototypes, process designs, testing, training, and definition of support procedures
• Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and drive to successful resolution
• Develop documentation for best practices as it relates to server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing technologies
• Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of client project deliverables based on the requirements.
• Review the operational requirements with project teams, management and client service groups for deployment and ongoing support
• Utilizes different platform including Cloud services for enhancement of Cloud/DevOps architectures
• Demonstrates creative, technical, and analytical skills
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments

The Team

The Solutions Network (SNET) is a Service Line of New Business Innovation (NBI) which is the leading-edge services development facility for Deloitte Consulting; focused on creating cloud-based IaaS, Automation tools/scripts, enhancements of various Infrastructure technologies. The portfolio spans multiple Cloud technologies including Public & Private Cloud environments alongside DevOps expertise.

Our strategy is to augment our leading build and services practice with various Network technology platforms that strike at the heart of our clients' business problems providing them with differentiated products. To do this, our SNET is built up of multiple teams including various Cloud platforms, solution architects and engineers, infrastructure, and operations staff. All of which follow our engineering and quality assurance methods and standards. Our dedicated space is equipped with Smart Board technology and interactive team environments along with state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, computer science, or equivalent education
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience architecting cloud and infrastructure solutions across a large and diverse environment
• Vast experience in design, implementation, and configuration in professional environment.
• Hands-on experience in Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Private Cloud Services etc.).
• 6+ years of prior commercial consulting experience
• Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment
• Hands-On in widely used DevOps tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Git, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Expertise in Datacenter migration and modernization strategics
• In depth knowledge of IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, DHCP, load balancing and firewall technologies
• In depth knowledge of VMware, HP, IBM, Cisco, Dell, and major vendor HW/SW offerings
• In depth knowledge on primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53 and VPC)
• In depth knowledge of Network and Infrastructure security best practices including governance
• Experience in CICD Pipeline implementation Automation of build, Packaging and Release Management activities (Build automation, CI/ CD, GIT, Jenkins)
• Experience in creating Automation scripts.
• Experience with change management and creating supporting tickets in JIRA
• Understanding of Windows, Linux concepts.
• Build solid infrastructure architectures that integrate easily with other systems and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Expertise Network design topology and implementation methods.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

Preferred:

• AWS solutions architect or AWS sysops Administrator Certification
